These terms apply to the Pokku Android app and the Pokku Desktop Windows app (“Pokku”). Pokku is provided by Waxoo Studio, the trade name of Wasif Younus, an independent developer (“we”, “us”). By using Pokku you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
Your account
- You need an account to use Pokku’s mesh features. Keep access to your sign-in email and your recovery code safe.
- You are responsible for the phones you add to your mesh and the access levels you give them.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Pokku.
Acceptable use
Pokku is for managing phones you own or are authorized to manage. You must not:
- add a phone to your mesh, or use Pokku to find, monitor or control a phone, without the knowledge and permission of the person who uses it;
- use Pokku to stalk, harass or secretly track anyone;
- try to get around Pokku’s access controls, attack our servers, or interfere with other users;
- use Pokku Drop to send illegal content or content you have no right to share.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
How Pokku works, and its limits
- Remote actions such as Ring, location and missed-call alerts depend on the other phone being switched on, connected to the internet, and allowed by Android to run Pokku in the background. Phone makers’ battery settings can delay or block delivery. Pokku cannot guarantee that a command, alert or location will always arrive, or arrive on time.
- Location shows a phone’s last-known position, which may be out of date or inaccurate.
- Pokku is not an emergency service or an anti-theft service. Don’t rely on it in situations where safety is at risk.
Backup & clean up
- Backups are stored on your own PC. You are responsible for that PC and its storage. We recommend keeping another copy of photos and videos that matter to you.
- Pokku verifies each file before offering to remove it from your phone, but deleting originals from your phone is always your choice and is confirmed by Android.
Free version, ads and points
- The free version of Pokku contains ads.
- Points earned by watching rewarded ads can be used only within Pokku. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and may be lost if you delete your account.
Subscriptions
Optional paid plans may be offered in the future. If they are, they will be sold through Google Play. Prices, renewal and cancellation will be shown before you buy, and Google Play’s terms will apply to payment and refunds.
Ownership
Pokku, including its design, code and name, belongs to Waxoo Studio. You keep ownership of the content you send with Pokku Drop or back up with Pokku Desktop. You give us permission to handle it only as needed to deliver it.
Disclaimer and liability
Pokku is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, phones or files. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
Ending use
You can stop using Pokku and delete your account at any time. We may end or change the service, and will give reasonable notice where possible.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will let you know in the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [country to be confirmed].
